Born Timaru 15 Oct 1882 Died Auckland 22 Jul 1969 Educated at Timaru High School Began medical studies at Otago Medical School before transferring to Edinburgh University, from where she graduated MB ChB in 1908. Proceeded to Dublin where she graduated in obstetrics. Honorary Physician, Wellington Children's Hospital 1915 Hon. Physician to the Wellington Society for the Protection of Women and Children 1915 Medical Officer, St Helen's Hospital, Wellington 1916 Medical Inspector for Schools, Otago and Southland 1916-1918 During the 1918 influenza epidemic, MO emergency hospital in Northcote, and later posted to Wellsford and Maungaturoto. Married Stephen Roper in August 1919 Two daughters. Resumed medical practice during the great depression in the 1930s Awarded the King George Jubilee Medal in 1935.
