Educated at Otago Boy's High School, Otago University Attended a postgraduate course at the Middlesex Hospital, London in 1912 Spent 1913-1914 (until WW1) in India Served with the RAMC in France, then joined the NZMC Stationed at Brockenhurst 1917-1918. Consulting Physician, NZ Military Forces Immediately post-war, Officer Commanding, Queen Mary Hospital for Nervous Diseases, Hanmer Springs Honorary Physician, Wellington Hospital 1918 - 1934.
