He was a school teacher before commencing medical studies

 

Practised in Wellington (from 218 Willis St) 1927 - 1928

After returning from postgraduate training in England, practised from 200 Willis St 1934 - 1943

Honorary Visiting Ophthalmic Surgeon, Wellington Hospital 1934 - 1939

 

Then went to New York where he practised as an Ophthalmologist for a time, before returning to live in Auckland.
