Awarded the Military Cross Returned to NZ in 1917, taking up a position with a travelling Medical Board Medical Superintendent, Southland Hospital 1918 - 1921 Medical Superintendent, Wellington Hospital 1922 - May 1928 In 1923, took 5 months study leave to Canada and the US Honorary Surgeon, Wellington Hospital 1928 - 1936 Medical Superintendent, Clearing Hospital, Aotea Quay 1941 Chief Medical Advisor, War Pensions Board.
