Educated at Wellington College, Otago University Served with the NZMC at Brockenhurst during WW1, following which he undertook postgraduate studies in Edinburgh On his return to NZ, he initially practised in Hamilton, before coming to Wellington Resident Medical Registrar & Assistant Medical Superintendent, Wellington Hospital 1922 - 1928. Set up a diabetic clinic and was involved with the first use of insulin in Wellington. Medical Superintendent, Wellington Hospital 1928 - 1934 After retiring from his Hospital post, he went into general practice in Miramar and Seatoun.
