Educated at Otago Boys' High School During WW1, served in the NZ Convalescent Hospital, Hornchurch, England Immediately post-war, RMO, Brompton Chest Hospital, London On return to NZ, he was appointed the first Medical Superintendent, Pukeora Sanitorium, Waipukurau Part-time Tuberculosis Officer, Wellington Hospital Board 1924 - 1935 Simultaneously, had duties at Pukeora and Otaki Sanitoria, and as well was a travelling consultant to most of the Hospital Boards in the North Island south of Auckland Tuberculosis Officer, Waikato Hospital 1942 - 1954 Obituary: NZMJ 1963 62:148 photograph courtesy J O Mercer collection |
