After an illness, took up psychodynamic psychiatry. Attended the School of Analytical Psychology, London 1957 - 1967, where she qualified as a Jungian Analyst.

Returned to NZ in 1968

Visiting Child Psychiatrist, Child Health Clinic, Wellington Hospital Board 1970 - 1975

Member of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Jungian Analysts and the International Association of Jungian Analysts (Zurich).

Dorothy continued her analytic practice in Eastbourne until her death.
