Educated at Scots College, Wellington, Otago University Batchelor Memorial Medal in Obstetrics and Gynaecology 5th year studies HS / HP, Wellington Hospital 1954 - 1955 Awarded the NZ Travelling Scholarship in O&G, travelling to Melbourne RMO, The Royal Women's Hospital, Melbourne 1956 Registrar, The Royal Women's Hospital, Melbourne 1957 Then travelled to London.
