Established in 2010, our Research Office encourages, facilitates and monitors research, works with our partner institutions, and performs administrative roles such as setting policy running the Clinical Trials Unit. The Research Office works with research teams from the Clinical Trials Unit, Cardiology, Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Centre for Endocrine, Diabetes and Obesity Research, Gastroenterology, Orthopaedics, Haematology, Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology and others.
CCDHB has strong links with external research institutions, including University of Otago Wellington (UOW), Victoria University of Wellington (VUW), the Malaghan Institute and the Medical Institute of New Zealand (MRINZ), and many other local and global partners. In 2018, the CCDHB and HVDHB Research Offices joined forces. Both offices are managed by Research Office Manager, Raulle Sol Cruz.
